I LOVE the lyrics, you just gotta put more UMPH to your work to really make your lyrics pop :)

I recommend either turning your background instruments up a little more OR adding a lead instrument like a guitar or a cool synthesizer to support the drums ^ ^.

needs a little more going on in the background, like a melody or lead! But other then that its a great start! NEVER give up on what you started, trust me I know how you feel! I have way too many side projects that I left undone too :P
